Open Letter to Angelo, CEO of The Funded Trader: A Case Study in Failed Customer Support and Ignored Platform GlitchesDear Angelo, and Fellow Traders,I'm writing today out of desperation after exhausting all internal channels within The Funded Trader. My experience highlights a deeply concerning pattern of unresponsive support, technical incompetence, and a disregard for the devastating impact these issues have on traders. My Case in Brief:Wrongful Termination:My account was wrongfully terminated due to a documented platform glitch that generated a false profit. The Funded Trader claims a "daily loss breach," which is impossible given my trade history and market conditions.Evidence Dismissed:I've provided detailed spreadsheets, screenshots, and market data. None of this has been addressed with counter-evidence or technical analysis.Generic Replies:Responses are inconsistent, ignore my specific case, and come from constantly shifting representatives.10+ Days, 100+ Messages:No resolution, just delays and further frustration. This Isn't Just About Me:My story is a cautionary tale for the trading community. Here's what The Funded Trader's actions demonstrate:No Technical Understanding:Their inability (or refusal) to analyze platform glitches puts ALL traders at risk of wrongful termination.Broken Resolution System:Their process is designed to wear down clients, not provide solutions. Promises made by one representative (like Marco's offer of restoration) are ignored by others.Trust Eroded:This experience contradicts their claims of trader-centric values. Can anyone trust a platform where errors lead to punishment, not resolution?Open Questions for Angelo:Will you personally review my case and explain how my documented trades align with their claimed breach? What safeguards will you implement to prevent other traders from suffering the same fate due to system errors? How will you rebuild trust with a community witnessing this lack of accountability?Fellow Traders:I'm sharing this publicly to protect others. If you've experienced similar issues, please comment and let's amplify this problem. This is not how any trading platform should operate. The Funded Trader must address these critical flaws before another trader's hard work and capital are unjustly lost.Sincerely, Maryam Khan

We are dedicated to transparency.Rithmic had the same issue this morning as it did yesterday. The issue has been fixed and they have identified and implemented a permanent fix, per Rithmic. The issue was due to Rithmic not purging inactive accounts older than 30 days. These inactive accounts were overloading the database. This is something they should have been doing all along. They will now purge inactive accounts each week to prevent this from occurring in the future. With this new discovery and policy implementation, Rithmic has assured us this should not be a recurring issue. They are also looking into why this fix had not been previously discovered to prevent this week's issues. We want to make it clear that we have no control over vendors like Tradovate/Rithmic/NinjaTrader. We are simply a funding company. However, while we do not have control over vendors, we do have control over how we respond. As a company, Apex Trader Funding has a long history of making things right with our customers. When vendors have a network wide issue, we always make sure accounts get fixed. Therefore, we will be fixing all accounts NEGATIVELY impacted from the past 2 days. Profits will remain. We must wait until after the market closes in order to make the necessary changes or we will impact accounts that have not been negatively impacted. We apologize for the inconvenience and frustration this has caused. As you can imagine, this has overwhelmed our staff. We as a company want to do nothing more than solve any issues and respond to concerns as quickly as possible. Network wide issues make it difficult for us to provide customer service at the level we know you deserve. We are more than just a trading company; we are traders. We are committed to doing the right thing and going beyond what is required of agreement documents. As the CEO of apextraderfunding.com and as a trader just like you, again, I apologize for the frustration and appreciate your patience and understanding. I hope you see our commitment to providing the best experience possible and fixing things to make them right for you even when they are beyond our control.FOR OTHER ISSUES: Please feel free to send us a ticket with the subject outlining any other issues you may have encountered. Please DO NOT send a ticket in regards to the Rithmic outages as per the instructions above. The support team is working through each ticket as fast as they can.To stay updated, please see our Status Update Page in the link below: https://lnkd.in/ef8_RYZ7Sincerely,Darrell MartinCEO of Apex Trader Funding

This week, progress on #stablecoin legislation took a turn for the worse. Once considered the low-hanging fruit of #crypto-related legislation, negotiations on the proposed stablecoin legislation seemed to deteriorate on Thursday morning ahead of a planned markup.House Financial Services Committee Chair McHenry blamed the White House for an unwillingness to compromise, saying that a bipartisan deal was “closer than we’ve ever been” before White House involvement. The primary friction point in the bill was the extent to which Federal Reserve and state regulators should share oversight of stablecoin issuers. The current version of the bill would allow states to have authority to oversee stablecoins, which is something that the Fed is strongly against. Democrats, led by Waters, want to ensure that Treasury and the #Fed support the bill and urged McHenry to delay the markup to allow for more time to get agencies on board. McHenry, however, pushed forward with voting on Thursday evening, where the bill, which was expected at one point to be overwhelmingly bipartisan, received limited support from Democrats, therefore ensuring that it is unlikely to pass in the Senate in its current form. However, all hope should not be lost. Although bipartisan work on stablecoin legislation hit a wall, the objections around policy differences were framed within the context of needing more time, not irreconcilable differences. This was a setback to be sure, but perhaps not fatal. The #CartaPolicy team will continue to track these developments and how they will impact the #privatemarkets. Big week for #crypto in CongressThis week, the House Financial Services and Agriculture Committees passed legislation on a bipartisan basis that would overhaul the crypto regulatory framework. Despite staunch opposition from HSFC Ranking Member Maxine Waters and other progressives, six HFSC Democrats voted with Republicans in support; the House Agriculture Committee, which splits jurisdiction on this issue, advanced the bill by a bipartisan voice vote. The bill would outline the division of authority between the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission and expand the CFTC’s oversight of the crypto industry, provide a pathway for platforms to register and trade digital assets, and exempt digital assets meeting certain conditions from the securities laws. The bill would also exclude payment stablecoins from being defined as securities (see more on this from my colleague Amy Miller, CPA). To attract bipartisan support, the updated legislation provides additional funding for the CFTC and removes a safe harbor that would have protected provisional registrants from SEC enforcement actions related to listing or offering securities while regulations are being finalized.👉Bottom line: Substantial movement on a broad crypto framework seemed unlikely at the outset of this Congress. Much work still needs to be done, but the House has maneuvered a bipartisan regulatory overhaul through two committees and moved the needle towards providing regulatory clarity the industry has been calling for. Given opposition from progressives in the Senate, it is unlikely this legislation will be signed into law. But it provides a strong foundation on which additional work can be done this Congress. The Carta Policy Team will continue to track the legislative and regulatory developments in the digital asset space. The rise in the democratisation of investing and trading can sometimes be a double-edged sword. As platforms enable access to a world of opportunities, all at your fingertips, finding a trusted provider is your first, and most important investing and trading decision. So, it’s not surprising that rookie traders are wary of potential scams, however that may be a good place to start. Being diligent with your research around your broker is the first step to being assured that you’ve made that first decision with confidence. There are some key questions you should always ask before deploying your hard-earned funds, such as:❓ Does the broker hold the appropriate licensing in your jurisdiction?❓ Where are my assets and cash held?❓ Do I have complete transparency on all fees?❓ What does the customer service model look like?I would encourage any trader to not solely rely on a social media post or conversation with a potential provider, but to instead insist on seeing the documentation that lays behind their claims. You also have the opportunity to check on the website of your jurisdiction's regulator to ensure your broker is appropriately licensed.Whilst the headline in a social media post may be alluring, a savvy trader should dig deeper to gain confidence they’ve made their first decision a smart one – picking a reputable broker for the long term.Thank you to Arnab Shome and Finance Magnates #reputablebroker #savvyinvestor #thingsthatmatter
